Delivering social value

Discover our commitments on giving back to our communities and how we're doing our bit for the world we live in.

We have a responsibility and a role to play in ensuring our business practices and initiatives have a positive impact on our employees, clients, communities, stakeholders, and the wider environment. Here at GOSS, we believe that if we can do more as a business, and pursue ideas that benefit and support the world outside of GOSS, then we should.

Helping the environment

Environmental sustainability is an issue that impacts us all, and as a business we are committed to doing our bit for this cause. When it comes to our office space, we've reduced and removed our usage of non-renewable energy, with it now being powered by 100% renewable electricity. Servers are also being powered off when they are not in use as a method of reducing energy wastage. What's more for those coming to our office to work, flexible working hours are helping to ease carbon emissions during peak travel times.

Investing in the workplace

We're doing our bit to help provide our local community and the wider employment pool with skilled candidates for employment. Working closely with education bodies and recruiters, we pass on real-life workplace skills to sustain the wider economic future. Work experience, undergraduate and graduate placement roles at GOSS have been a staple of our recruitment for many years, and we're proud to provide many people with the many workplace skills they need to succeed.

Giving to charity

Giving back is at the core of GOSS's culture. The GOSS team make it a priority each year to raise money and take part in a range of charitable activities, including sponsored walking challenges, food bank donations, and bake-offs. As part of our annual client survey, for every submission we receive we donate £10 to a selected charity, with the Mental Health Foundation and NHS Charities Together some of our previous beneficiaries.

Supporting our team

Without a physically and mentally well team of people working at GOSS, doing business would be impossible. Ensuring our team's wellbeing is a top priority, that's why we've invested in ways of keeping our team in tip-top condition. Flexible working hours help the team members form a work-life-balance that works best for of them, so that work at GOSS never feels like work. And with initiatives such as our Cycle-to-Work scheme we are also helping to keep the team physically active.
