West Lothian Landlords Portal
West Lothian Council have recently launched their Accredited Landlords Scheme, a project spanning approximately seven months. In response to the evolving landscape of landlord accreditation in Scotland, GOSS has partnered with West Lothian to develop a cutting-edge digital service aimed at bolstering support for landlords participating in the esteemed Landlord Accreditation Scotland (LAS) program. Established in 2008, LAS is a national accreditation scheme championing best practices in the private rented sector throughout Scotland.
The project's primary objective was to introduce a digital platform that enables accredited landlords to list their properties online, thereby facilitating seamless connections with prospective tenants. Together West Lothian and GOSS have collaborated to create a user-centric platform where landlords can effortlessly sign up, verify their accreditation status using the MyGovScot authentication service and manage property listings for private rental. Integrated into the West Lothian website, this intuitive platform empowers tenants to browse available properties and initiate direct contact with landlords, fostering a streamlined rental process.
This transformative initiative not only grants landlords enhanced control over their property listings but also equips West Lothian Council with invaluable insights into their accredited landlords and available properties. As the project progresses, West Lothian are looking to further leverage this digital solution to encourage further landlord participation and promote the advantages of the Accredited Landlords Scheme.
